This is Too Cool  I know I've talked about it before, but I just find this stuff too exciting.With the release of the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD this fall, Hasbro is re-releasing a bunch of toys related to those three films. All the re-releases are being put out in reproductions of the type of packaging used for Star Wars toys back in the 80s. It's like the best nostalgia trip ever. Check out the recently announced 12' Boba Fett that will be released.  Wicked cool! I had a Stormtrooper 12' figure when I was a kid (Kevin had the 12" Darth Vader with probably the best cape ever) - but those are gone now. Sold off in a garage sale during a moment of weakness and confusion. This Boba Fett is twelve times more cool than that old Stormtrooper (though the 'trooper did have one mean-ass gun) and would look great next to the 10" Superman and Batman that currently grace my dresser at home. But enough of that. Take a look at the box he will come in.  Fantastic! I love it. I know that Frank Zapa once said, "It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork and the other is nostalgia." But dammit, I don't care. If having a Boba Fett figure in a box that takes me back to a time when life was simplier - lazy afternoons playing Star Wars in the living room with my brother while waiting forl G.I.
